Success of InterBuildExpo 2014 to witness the construction industry rise
The main building exhibition of Ukraine – InterBuildExpo – was held from the 26th till the 29th of March with an impressive success: the leading participating companies underlined the increase of sales and clients geography widening, active attendance by the target audience and high effectiveness of specialized events.
The exposition of InterBuildExpo included the following sections: “Projecting, building, repair”, “Facades, roof and insulation” (Hall 1, Expo Hall), “Gates. Automatics. Window systems” (Hall 1 and Hall 2), “New technologies, tools and electric equipment” (Hall 1 and Hall 2, Eco Hall), “Greenery, landscape design, horticultural equipment“ (Hall 2, Green Hall), “Doors and door fittings”, “Interior. Decor. Light”, “Ceramics and bathroom accessories“ (Hall 3, Idea’s Hall), InterTechExpo – Open Area.
The leading companies of construction market of Ukraine offered modern materials, equipment and advanced technologies. Visitors learned the modern developments in the sphere of construction and architecture, manufacture of construction and finishing materials, novelties of the market of doors, windows, sanitary fittings and ceramics.
InterBuildExpo 2014 in figures:

- Demonstration of the latest tendencies of the industry;
- Participation of the leading specialists of the sphere of construction, architecture and deisng in the forum.
Traditionally, one of the main advantages of the InterBuildExpo forum is a rich business events program, as well as special zones and expositions. In 2014 in conference halls and at communication platforms Active House and Svit Form, lectures and workshops for professionals of different levels – from building and development to retail and object design – were held. Within the frames of InterBuildExpo the round table “City for Life” was held, organized by Kyiv International Contract Fair, Ltd. in cooperation with the club of Ukrainian developers – Ukrainian Real Estate Club.
Large professional audience was gathered by the 2nd all-Ukrainian conference “Door business” and the forum of the Pryvatnyi Dim magazine for the topic “Roof from A to Z”, held in cooperation with Kyiv International Contract Fair, Ltd. and the Knauf company. Detailed research on regional peculiarities of implementing technologies of “active house” was offered to the professionals of construction market by Oleh Panitkov (the VELUX company) at the seminar “Principles of Active House and experience of the realized projects”.
Development of lighting systems at the modern construction market was considered at two seminars at the Active House platform: from Philips – “LED solutions Philips in modern architecture”, and from ES-System – “Use of LED lighting. Experience of ES-System”.
The bricks market was widely represented both at the exposition and in the business program of the exhibition, e.g. at the lecture by the Ukrproftorg company devoted to handmade bricks from Yekaterynoslavska Tsehla TM, as well as joint report “Clinker bricks and ceramic blocks” by the representatives of ABS Klinkergruppe and Wienerberger.
The matters of strengthening the basements and complex soil were discussed at the seminar “Innovative geopolymer technologies of the restoration of sunken bases of buildings, concrete slabs and foundations” from the Uretek company.
The landscape block of InterBuildExpo was represented by a number of events, where the matters of correct pool launch, work in nurseries, revival of landscape architecture were discussed.
At InterBuildExpo-2014 the official awarding ceremony of the finalists of the first all-Ukrainian architectural contest ArchiHIT was held. Its winners will go to Milan for a refreshment course Poli.Design at Politechnico di Milano, to Finland the factory of Tikkurila and the Habitat exhibition, as well as receive membership in the Active House Alliance. The contest was organized by Kyiv International Contract Fair, Ltd. under support of Onduline Construction Materials, TOV, Velux Ukraine, TOV, Tikkurila, TOV, and in partnership with the Designers Union of Ukraine.
On top of that, the all-Ukrainian contest of object design SVIT FORM 2014 already traditionally started at InterBuildExpo in March. SVIT FORM was created by Kyiv International Contract Fair, Ltd. and the Youth union of KO Designers Union of Ukraine “VARTO” for the reason of uniting creative outlook of young designers and the will to produce interior items and furniture, which would correspond to the latest design tendencies. The SVIT FORM platform gives the contestants a chance to realize their projects into serial production due to the contest partners – Italian companies CeramicArte Deruta (representative in Ukraine: the Dobrynia company) and Linea Cali (represented by the Modus Trade company). Special prizes for the winners – graphical tablets Wacom Intuos Pen&Toouch Medium were prepared by Wacom, the official partner of the SVIT FORM contest.
