Briefing on stimulation and development of construction industry at InterBuildExpo
Today in the frames of the forum after the official opening ceremony of Ukraine’s main construction forum InterBuildExpo 2016, the briefing of the organizer – Kyiv International Contract Fair – and Construction Chamber of Ukraine took place. The briefing’s topic is “Stimulation of investment into construction sector and main principles of working on residentialconstruction market during economic instability”.
The briefing was held with participation of representatives of state authorities, heads of Construction Chamber of Ukraine, forum organizers and heads of construction companies. Petro S. Shyliuk, president of Construction Chamber of Ukraine, delivered the welcome speech. He spoke on difficult times Ukraine experiences, and about problems in construction industry in particular. Notwithstanding all events that have happened, with the help of efforts made by the state authorities international investments can be attracted into construction sector.
Stanislav T. Stashevskyi, first vice president of Construction Chamber of Ukraine, was unanimously entitled to be the moderator of the event.
Dmytro Y. Andriievskyi, first deputy head of the committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on construction, city planning and communal living, thanked everyone present and underlined the importance of the event, at which the main issues of the construction industry were highlighted. “I am sure that during this briefing, as well as during the forum opening, we will touch upon and the matters of development and stimulation of construction industry and try to find answer to them”.
The next to speak on investments that had already been attracted into different directions of construction industry wasMaksym A. Malashkin, deputy Minister of Regional Development, Construction and Communal Living of Ukraine, secretary general. He also stressed the fact that notwithstanding the difficult times, Ukrainian construction industry was gaining development pace.
Volodymyr A. Ivanov, chairman of the board of Kyiv International Contract Fair, the organizer of the construction forumInterBuildExpo, reported the statistics data and the figures of the exhibition: “Today, over 500 companies participate in the forum, this figure exceeding the previous year’s one by 25%. For the first day of the exhibition, we have already got over 10,000 registered visitors, and the total number of visitors we expect is around 22,000-25,000. Just to compare: last year 18,000 professionals visited the forum. The exhibition represents 10 foreign countries, and Turkish companies form Turkish National Pavilion. I would like to underline that notwithstanding the difficult economic situation, we observe development in construction industry, and the present forum reflects the situation on the market, its growth and development”.
Valentin V. Velichko, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Ukraine, doyen of diplomatic staff, told the audience about the importance of experience exchange between the neighboring countries. He wished flourishing to construction industry of Ukraine, as well as further success in establishing mutually beneficial economic relations, including those in the sphere of construction, between Ukraine and Belarus.
After the members of the briefing presidium, the invited representatives of the construction sector aired their suggestions on improvement and development of the sector.
The event of such scale with participation of state authorities has huge significance for stimulation and development of the market.
